Coming Spring 2026

Your ADHD brain doesn't need another timer.
It needs a plan.

Ebbi is a science-backed focus companion that plans your tasks, guides you through each one, and adapts when life doesn't go as planned. No punishment. No shame. Just science.

We'll notify you at launch. No spam, ever.

Ebbi task planning screen Ebbi break timer screen

You've tried everything.

Timers that punish you when you check your phone.

To-do lists that grow faster than you can cross things off.

Apps that treat focus like willpower — when it's actually neuroscience.

Three steps. Zero friction.

01
Plan

List your tasks with time estimates. Name your breaks — laundry, a walk, whatever resets you. Ebbi builds your complete schedule automatically.

02
Focus

Ebbi guides you through each task with calming soundscapes and a gentle timer. Fall behind? Your schedule recalculates instantly. No shame — just an updated plan.

03
Review

See what you accomplished. Compare planned vs actual time. Over time, you'll understand your brain's rhythm — and work with it, not against it.

Designed for how your brain actually works

Every feature exists because the research says it helps.

Breaks icon
Labeled Breaks

Name your breaks — 'Switch the laundry,' 'Walk the dog.' Productive breaks reset your brain without losing momentum.

Tasks icon
Auto-Split Big Tasks

A 90-minute task feels impossible. Three 30-minute blocks with breaks? Totally doable. Ebbi splits them for you.

Sound icon
Focus Soundscapes

Rain, brown noise, forest, lo-fi — synthesized on your device. Ambient noise fills a measurable neurological gap in ADHD brains.

Compassion icon
Bad Brain Day Mode

Some days are harder. One tap loads a gentle session with shorter tasks and longer breaks. No judgment — just meeting you where you are.

Time icon
Live Time Projection

See exactly when you'll finish. If you run over, everything recalculates. No spiral — just a new plan.

Accuracy icon
Estimate Accuracy

Track planned vs actual time. Get better at predicting how long things actually take. Your future self will thank you.

Every feature cites its sources

We don't guess about what helps. We read the peer-reviewed research and build from there.

Structured Breaks

A 2025 meta-analysis found that structured work-break intervals consistently improved sustained attention and reduced mental fatigue.

Ambient Sound

Brown noise isn't a wellness trend — it's addressing a real neurological gap in the under-aroused ADHD brain.

The Shame Loop

Shame activates your brain's threat system — literally taking the prefrontal cortex offline right when you need it most.

Built by someone who gets it

Paul Fernkopf

Paul Fernkopf

Founder, Forge Hut LLC

Paul didn't set out to build an app. In 2009, he was a college student who couldn't focus — not in the "try harder" way, but in the neurological way. He has ADHD and a learning disability that makes processing written text a daily negotiation. Every productivity tool he tried assumed his brain worked like everyone else's. None of them did.

So he built his own system. On paper. List the tasks, estimate the time, schedule productive breaks, and track whether the plan matched reality. It worked. He used it through college, through service in the U.S. Army with the 1st Infantry Division, and through over a decade in public safety.

He digitized it in 2014, but always went back to paper. The apps were too rigid, too complicated, and too focused on punishing you for losing focus instead of helping you find it again.

In 2026, Paul taught himself to code and founded Forge Hut, LLC. He built Ebbi the same way he builds everything — research exhaustively, prototype, iterate, and refuse to stop until it's better than what exists.

Every feature in Ebbi is grounded in peer-reviewed neuroscience and tested on the brain that needed it most — his own.

Paul lives in Kansas with his husband, three kids, three dogs, and four cats. He still closes his Apple Watch rings every day.
